Don't forget, the 5th grade Pizza Gallery fundraiser runs through the end of October. Just order a Take and Bake Pizza, fill out the order form and take it to Pizza Gallery when you pick up the pizza. $5 will be credited to your child's camp fund for each pizza ordered. Let me know if you need more order forms!

Cater For the Greater

Are you ordering Chick-fil-A catering for an event this year?  Our school can earn money off your order!

How does it work?

  • ALL Tray Catering Orders (for either delivery or pickup) from our school community that get placed with the Viera Chick-fil-A store will count towards the school total when purchased during November 1st 2011-December 31st 2011
  • These must be orders consisting of any of our catering trays (any size, or product)
  • Manatee supporters MUST tell our staff at time of order and payment that this is a "Cater for the Greater" order intended to benefit Manatee Elementary.
  • All orders tracked will be totaled throughout the entire time period and Chick-fil-A Viera will provide 10% back in the form of a check for your school!

Remember this fundraiser begins November 1st and runs until December 31st 2011.

Reading Update

Bob Lemmons was an African American who had once been a slave. He had never learned to read or write, but he knew horses. In Black Cowboy, Wild Horses, we're reading the adventure of Lemmons taming a herd of stallions. Throughout the story, the author tells us things without writing them down. When Lemmons first sees the herd, he moves carefully, and only a little bit closer day by day. That tells me he is a patient man, respectful of the animals he sees. I'm looking forward to knowing this man better as we read through the book.
