Reading Update

Rattlesnakes are actually not as spooky as some people make them out to be. In Rattlers! the main idea is probably the one stated at the very beginning of the article: "Rattlesnakes are misunderstood because people do not know

that much about them." The fascinating details of the story tell where they live, how they hunt, what they eat, and whether they are endangered.

This Week's Skills

Walk to School Day

Manatee Elementary School will be having a Walk to School Day on October 3, 2012. Ms. Best and Mr. Bartlett will be at Eastwind Park AND North Solerno Park at 7:15am if any students and their parents would like to join us in a walk to school that morning. This year we will be using both parks to begin our walk so that we can have even more participation than the great turnout we had last year. To allow us enough time to get to school on time we will be leaving the parks at 7:30am.

We hope to see a big turnout for this important event. Even if you drive your child to school you can drive to the park and meet us there for the walk. Remember every little bit of physical activity helps.

Thank you,

Ms. Best and Mr. Bartlett
