Students: http://padlet.com/wall/umh6psnv05 Click on the link and add a post. Make sure you type your name on the first line! Put some thought into your post. You may want to look in your Social Studies book!!
Parents: Please make sure that your child is keeping up with FCAT Focus assignments for reading, math and science. The practice assessment on pearsonsuccessnet is up and running. During Spring Break the file was too big and wouldn't post, however, it has been split into 4 separate assessments and is ready to go. The math FCAT begins April 22nd and this would be a great way to practice it. Don't forget 5th graders will take it on the computer this year!
April Reading Goal: One biography and one poetry book. The students who did not meet the March goal have been placed on a nightly reading plan, which includes a summary of what they read each night. It also requires a parent signature at the end of the week. Please make sure that your child keeps up with this and writes a thorough summary. March was the last month of the Book It program through Pizza Hut. Those students who met the goal for each of the months will be invited to a pizza party in the classroom during lunch at the end of April. Look for the invitations soon.
I hope that you all had a relaxing and fun Spring Break. The next several weeks will be very busy; hopefully we can all get through them without anymore bugs being passed around. Our supply of hand sanitizer is dwindling, so if you see some at the store and want to send it in, we would sure appreciate it! Thanks again for all you do to help your children be successful. J
