WALK – A- THON
The annual walk-a-thon is on Thursday, Jan. 21st. We are looking for volunteers. Check out the school newsletter for information on how you can help. Be sure your student dresses appropriately for the event. Please support our activity classes and the many fine programs they provide by helping your child obtain pledges.
Basic Facts
Before winter break students were informed we would be reviewing and quizzing basic facts again when we returned. This week we began this process. Students must have quick recall of facts for math success.
Beginning this week and continuing in the coming weeks, students who have not yet mastered a basic fact area(s) (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) will be provided additional practice time on Fridays during our supplemental PE time (formerly known as recess).
Please encourage your child to practice his/her facts nightly if they have not yet achieved mastery. Remember, this can be done utilizing flash cards, paper/pencil, or online activities (posted on Edline or others of your choice).
DRESSING WARM
Remind students to dress in layers during these cold days. We never know if our classroom will be chilly or warm throughout the day. When we go outside
